Interior kit

Walls, floors, a doorway, a window reveal and a flight of stairs — a modular interior where a plan is a set of cells and the walls follow from it.

Interactive demo, running in a sandbox. Drag inside it to look around.

What it is

Walls, floors, ceilings, a doorway, a window and a staircase you arrange into rooms. Draw a plan and the pieces follow it, so a building that only had an outside gets an inside. Houses, offices, corridors, dungeons.

It has 460 triangles and 10 named parts, including: wall, wallDoor, wallWindow, floor, ceiling, beam, column, doorLeaf.
Named parts are separate nodes, so you can move or hide them individually.

Load it at runtime — do not rebuild the geometry on the page:
  npx modelkit vendor . # from antics-modelkit, puts glbload.js + three next to your page
  import { loadGLB } from "./glbload.js";
  const parts = await loadGLB("./model.glb");   // [{ name, geometry, material }]
  for (const p of parts) scene.add(new THREE.Mesh(p.geometry, p.material));

To change its proportions instead of using it as-is, download the recipe, run
`npm i antics-modelkit three`, edit the arguments and `npx modelkit build`.

Published with its recipe by its author, who states it is original work. We host both files; we have not re-run the recipe ourselves.
